Manufacturing Day 2019
Join us at Linn-Benton Community College’s new Career Technical Education Facilities to learn about career opportunities in manufacturing and participate in hands-on activities.
- Manufacturing is technologically advanced, with the use of automation, 3-D printing, robots, and screen technology.
- The annual average salary of manufacturing workers is more than $77,000.
- Manufacturers have the highest job tenure in the private sector.
- Local companies are facing workforce shortages in skilled trades.
SCHEDULE:
MORNING:
9:00 a.m. — Arrival
9:15 – 11:15 a.m. — Students visit programs & can participate in hands-on activities
11:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. — BBQ Lunch & Manufacturing Fair in the Plaza
AFTERNOON:
Tours with local manufacturers will be available. If you’re able to attend a tour, please indicate so on the Google form.
